About MonoFigures
Who Are We?
We are based in Guimarães, Portugal. In 2018, we started our 3D printing journey in our workshop, in our parents’ basement.
Since then, we’ve been making cool products and applying new skills, while having fun. In December 2022, we created MonoFigures, because we wanted to create a gift for friends, special others, parents and close family that is not only unique and customizable, but also represents the person being offered.
Our commitment to Figurine Quality
First and foremost, we aim to accurately represent the person being portrayed on our custom figurines. To achieve that, we applied ourselves in learning and practicing the art of caricature, as well as 3D modeling and painting. It was not an easy process, but now we’re able to transport someone’s resemblance into a cartoon medium, while at the same time maintaining their likeness and essence.
We create custom figurines that are not only fun to look at, but also durable and high quality toys that will last you a long, long time. Thus, our creative process also aims to provide a product as high quality as possible.
For example, we spent countless hours adjusting the width of the arms, legs and necks of our figurines, as well as their insert keys, to provide a satisfactory feeling when assembling our figurines, and to ensure they are as fall proof as possible, and replaceable.
Environment & Sustainability
We are always cautious of our impact when we plan or do new stuff. We don’t proceed with ideas that we believe are a bad use of raw material, and will end up creating waste.
Our figurines are a great example of this, since they are made-to-order.
